This model Gateway had everything I was looking at an acceptable price and I think it’s perfect for university students in many ways and is an absolute value:
1) I wanted a netbook for some time for its portability and long battery life. And ‘only 3 pounds (fits in your backpack like a thin book) and the battery lasts usually 6 or 7 hours but less when watching videos. Every time I liked the Red Cherry laptop from Gateway, but I’m glad I waited for it. So it looks too big. The origin, this should be a smaller laptop on the move, but changed my laptop because it does everything the older and more. The only thing missing is a CD / DVD, which in these days is not a necessity. (You can purchase separately if necessary).
2) The screen is 11.6 “which is bigger than most netbook line, that would be too small for me. I have not noticed a big contra diction compared to 15.6 for all my old laptop,” is certainly a bit ’smaller, but it works well for me.
3) New Windows 7 Home Premium preinstalled. The configuration of the laptop was very easy business minutes. Not come preloaded with programs too inefficient, so the installation was easy.
4) built-in 1.3MP webcam and the microphone is almost standard these days (my old laptop has no built-in webcam), so this is a feature adapted Nice.
5) 250GB HDD is larger than my old laptop and you can never have enough hard disk space
6) 2 GB of memory, expandable to 4 GB
7) Intel Celeron 743, which is fast enough to handle many open programs (word processors, browsers, cut video)
8) Nice extra is the HDMI output, do not use yet, but the robustness to be useful one day.

The sound could be better if these effects Dolby Sound Room, takes some ‘getting used to, but with speakers is fine.

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, research on it for a long time and I think I’ve done a great value for my money. What it basically came to me was the screen size, battery life, hard drive space, aesthetic designs. I hope this baby will last a long time.
